AccuMagic AccuMagic couples TeleMagic® for Windows with
AccuMail® to achieve more accurate addresses for all of your contacts. The USPS estimates
that over 30% of all mail is undeliverable as addressed. That means your mail is delayed,
returned, or ends up in a dumpster somewhere.
Most of us realize that our customer database is one of our most valuable assets. Why waste postage and delay your mail when you can ensure that the addresses you mail to are correct and accurate?
AccuMagic accommodates the multi-level, flexible database structure of TeleMagic and allows you to easily rectify data entry errors such as misspellings, transposed numbers, and omitted information. That corrected information can save you a fortune.
How it works:
AccuMagic is called from TeleMagic for Windows from an icon on the button bar. It finds
the address fields and looks up that address in the database on the AccuMail CD-ROM. Once
the address is found, AccuMagic updates the street and city spellings, provides the
complete ZIP+4, inserts the delivery point codes, carrier route codes, or inserts a result
code if it could not find the address in AccuMails database. The update process
takes care of up to four addresses on each level, allowing you to select an individual
address or all addresses on a level. This takes only a few seconds, and is easily done at
the time of data entry. A standalone batch version that is called as a separate
application is also available to process all addresses on all levels in an entire database
at once. Depending on system configurations, the batch version can process several
thousand records per hour.
At installation, AccuMagic is configured for each database so it knows where the address fields are on a level-by-level basis. There is no need for you to use any special field names and you can easily accommodate multiple addresses at each level. All you need to do is add a 3-character field for the delivery point code, a 4-character field for the carrier route, a 2-character field for the result code, and a 30-character field for the county if desired. AccuMagic does the rest. AccuMagic also includes a TrueType font to allow direct printing of the POSTNET Bar code on any of your correspondence.
